FAMILY
I've been blessed, as I hope all pastors are, with a truly supportive wife and ministry partner. In Hye has served with me from Los Angeles and Cleveland to Santa Clara and New Hampshire. Her dedicated prayer life, heart for the hurt, and caring that reaches out to hold, help and feed others is inspirational. She is fond of telling me that without the love of Christ our ministry really has very little. And of course, she's right!
THE
ALLENS
Together we're set on raising these little boys in the Lord and we see them as our primary mission field. Both boys have Korean names - Ye Jin [Jesus is the Truth] and Ye Dam [Christ-like].
We hold true that we minister out of who we are before God and see our family - marriage and parenting - as our first ministry. We strive then to lead by example with a transformed home centered on Christ and lives shaped by His word and cultivated by the Holy Spirit.
We are often camping in the redwoods, playing on the beach, and finding anything to do with cars, motorcycles, and Star Wars. We're Dallas Cowboys fans so we're familiar with suffering, but we find a lot of joy in exploring backwoods and cities, books and art, cooking new things, and trying to craft the perfect cup of coffee. While In Hye is a photographer and designer by hobby (and previously by profession) Kyle is an avid motorcyclist on the lookout for vinyl records.
